High School Tips

I went to an all girls school, Aburi Girls to be precise. High school taught me alot of different things.

High school was not always fun but we made it fun especially on our entertainment night and freaks. Freaks are known as funfair; we invite schools to come have a good time and also to socialize.

The girls become hyper when the days are approaching to the freak day. Everyone wants to look their best.

I don't if you guys did that but everyone had a new uniform set aside for such days and I did that as well. This new uniform was hemmed very well so that you can attract the guys coming. Yeah......Seeing guys were like dreams come true.....you know right!

Another tip was that people used keysoap in their hair to activate curls. Keysoap is a kind of soap used here in Ghana to wash clothes.

I never knew you could actually do that.

Another tip was that when you are been given any uniform take a smaller one. Do that and thank me later.

Another is that when you are laying your bed you can actually use pins at the sides and it will stretch out and look like it was ironed. Yeah!!!

Lastly, you can use an iron to cook and also to heat water. With the cooking you need those stainless steel bowls. We were using that to cook indomie and with heating the water we use a napkin to wrap the sachet water and we pour a little water onto  the napkin and we ironed it back and forth. We do that multiple times and by the time you realized the water was hot.

Let me know in the comment below what tricks or tips you also learnt.

The form One XpeRienCe (Senior High) Part 2

I was told the prep was going to be held at the dining hall since we haven't been given classes yet. I joined a batch of girls at the table and I opened a book to read. Some girls were just talking about what they did after they graduated from Junior high school and some were talking about trending things going on. I was just tired to even talk to anyone by the time I realized I was fast asleep. I don't know how fast the time went. After a while, I heard the siren and that immediately told me prep was over. I took my book and headed for the dormitory but first house prayers were made before we were allowed to enter into our dorms. I got in so exhausted. Immediately, I started packing my things because I didn't want to wait for tomorrow.  I didn't like where I was sleeping. My bed was right beside the door but hey there was nothing I could do since I came late.  Fortunately or unfortunately for me I ended up getting two school mothers; one was in form 3 and the other w...

The Form One XpeRienCe part 3

We got down and stood infront of them. I was told to go to bed since I just came today. The seniors told them to showcase their talents right infront of them. One of them sang a Jordan Sparks song titled 'No Air', another sang a gospel song and one senior said who could sing Brick and lace song 'Love is wicked'. At the time, that song was reigning and was the ish. They were just standing there, no one came forward. I was just lying on my bed and I was singing that song. I didn't know they were listening because I thought I wasn't that loud so when I stopped I realized the place was super quiet. The next thing I heard was 'form one girl get down' . I got up from my bed and stood infront of them then I was asked to sing the song I was singing. I did when I was done, I was asked to go back to bed and that was it. The next day was Saturday and I didn't know what to expect. I got to the bathroom to take my bath and I realized that the bathroom was an ope...

SeamTailor Saga

I don't understand why seamstresses and tailors are always lying.  Did they go to school of lying and studied the course lying affairs and graduated with a first class degree? aahhbbaa!!! This is too much. Does this happen everywhere or just in Ghana? I really want to know. Let me tell you guys a story. There was this day I gave my cloth to this tailor to sew a dress for me. He told me that by next week it will be ready so that I can come for it. I told him I will be there next week. The following week I went there and he told me it wasn't ready that I should give him another week. I asked him if he was sure. He said yes and I left.  I came back the following week and he told me it wasn't ready. I got furious and I told him to give me my cloth because he wasn't being honest and truthful to me. Even as I am speaking to you a seamstress has my cloth that is yet to be done. Can you imagine? I hate this kind of treatment. Why can't they be truthful for once in their l...
