The form One XpeRienCe part 5

Class was indeed interesting but I didn't like where I was sitting. My sitting partner was something else. The way she spoke to me I didn't like it at all. French was also boring for me at the time but I did enjoy it when I was in junior high.

Wednesdays we had general assembly where all the teachers, the students and the headmistress would meet to discuss about certain things going on in the school.

Saturdays was for entertainment and some times visiting. During my time, visiting happened twice in one month and it was nice. You get to eat proper home cooked meal or proper meal from a restaurant and that period was really cherished. That is the time you see different kinds of foods, drinks and snacks. It was really a time for sharing.

Sundays were church days and work days. The church is mostly held at the Asibey Hall in the morning and sometimes we would go to the presbyterian church in the town to join the community members there for service. This was done from class to class.

The work was also scheduled from house to house. The working places were the sick bay and the dining hall.

I nearly forgot, Saturdays was also for inspection. The inspections were scheduled in the morning where you would lay your beds with white bed sheet and iron it very well, pack the bags well, sweeping the entire dorm and making sure everything in the dorm was neatly arranged and cleaned. The working portions where also checked so my working portion was the bath house so I had to make sure where I cleaned was spic and span.

Being a form one girl wasn't easy at all. You do all the donkey jobs in the house. At the end of the day you feel so tired that during prep you end up sleeping.

During all these experiences, I realized that there's no short cut in life and that if you really want to go far in life you would have to work hard and be determined. Also be mindful of the people you keep as friends because some friends are wolves in sheep clothing. They smile with you yet they stab you in the back.

The form One XpeRienCe (Senior High) Part 2

I was told the prep was going to be held at the dining hall since we haven't been given classes yet. I joined a batch of girls at the table and I opened a book to read. Some girls were just talking about what they did after they graduated from Junior high school and some were talking about trending things going on. I was just tired to even talk to anyone by the time I realized I was fast asleep. I don't know how fast the time went. After a while, I heard the siren and that immediately told me prep was over. I took my book and headed for the dormitory but first house prayers were made before we were allowed to enter into our dorms. I got in so exhausted. Immediately, I started packing my things because I didn't want to wait for tomorrow. I didn't like where I was sleeping. We got down and stood infront of them. I was told to go to bed since I just came today. The seniors told them to showcase their talents right infront of them. One of them sang a Jordan Sparks song titled 'No Air', another sang a gospel song and one senior said who could sing Brick and lace song 'Love is wicked'. At the time, that song was reigning and was the ish. They were just standing there, no one came forward. I was just lying on my bed and I was singing that song.
