  Sometimes situations make us so angry or we just want to be alone and think. Sometimes we just want to find solace in something and I believe music is a very powerful tool we all run to sometimes. Music is a language we all understand and it inspires us in many ways than one.   I learnt something from a sermon about the the different dimensions of a woman when it comes to marriage and I pray the ladies here will take something out from this.  These dimensions are; 1.  A wife 2.   Class was indeed interesting but I didn't like where I was sitting. My sitting partner was something else. The way she spoke to me I didn't like it at all. French was also boring for me at the time but I did enjoy it when I was in junior high. Wednesdays we had general assembly where all the teachers, the students and the headmistress would meet to discuss about certain things going on in the school. Saturdays was for entertainment and some times visiting. During my time, visiting happened twice in one month and it was nice. You get to eat proper home cooked meal or proper meal from a restaurant and that period was really cherished. That is the time you see different kinds of foods, drinks and snacks. It was really a time for sharing.  Sundays were church days and work days. The church is mostly held at the Asibey Hall in the morning and sometimes we would go to the presbyterian church in the town to join the community members there for service. This was done from class to cl

 We were at prep for an hour I think. We headed off to dining. One thing I hated about dining was the food. The food was bad. The waakye they served was like banku when it was dished out. I told the one serving that I wasn't eating after all I had something better in my locker. After dining was siesta. Time to rest for a bit. After that the siren rang alerting us that it was over.  I went to the bathhouse still shy but I knew I had to get used to it eventually. This wasn't easy for me.  I got back to the dorm. Dressing up I heard my dorm mates discussing about the entertainment tonight. I just couldn't wait. I was filled with excitement. I went for dining then after headed to the Asibey Hall. Getting closer to the place I heard loud music and I knew I was in for a surprise. I sat down and the songs been played I knew most of them so I was sitting down nodding my head to it and singing at the same time. We were sitting down there listening to the songs and watching the music

 We got down and stood infront of them. I was told to go to bed since I just came today. The seniors told them to showcase their talents right infront of them. One of them sang a Jordan Sparks song titled 'No Air', another sang a gospel song and one senior said who could sing Brick and lace song 'Love is wicked'. At the time, that song was reigning and was the ish. They were just standing there, no one came forward. I was just lying on my bed and I was singing that song. I didn't know they were listening because I thought I wasn't that loud so when I stopped I realized the place was super quiet. The next thing I heard was 'form one girl get down' . I got up from my bed and stood infront of them then I was asked to sing the song I was singing. I did when I was done, I was asked to go back to bed and that was it. The next day was Saturday and I didn't know what to expect. I got to the bathroom to take my bath and I realized that the bathroom was an ope

  I was told the prep was going to be held at the dining hall since we haven't been given classes yet. I joined a batch of girls at the table and I opened a book to read. Some girls were just talking about what they did after they graduated from Junior high school and some were talking about trending things going on. I was just tired to even talk to anyone by the time I realized I was fast asleep. I don't know how fast the time went. After a while, I heard the siren and that immediately told me prep was over. I took my book and headed for the dormitory but first house prayers were made before we were allowed to enter into our dorms. I got in so exhausted. Immediately, I started packing my things because I didn't want to wait for tomorrow.  I didn't like where I was sleeping. My bed was right beside the door but hey there was nothing I could do since I came late.  Fortunately or unfortunately for me I ended up getting two school mothers; one was in form 3 and the other w

 I went to the School on Friday.I think I was supposed to be there on Tuesday but because of something I couldn't make it so I was there that Friday with my mum. My mum was supposed to bring along some documents but she forget them so she had to leave but she got me some snacks before she left. I was just sitting under the shed with my bags and everything waiting. I waited for a very long time before I was been shown my house and where I was going to sleep. I left my bags at the dormitory and changed to my house dress and left for  dining.  I was told to sit at the prefect's table. On the table, most of them were using spoon to eat so I also decided to do same. Immediately I picked up the spoon, the senior said form One girl use your cutlery meaning use fork and knife.  I had no idea how to use it because at home you either use a fork or a spoon to eat so because of that I decided not to eat but just to observe. I just couldn't wait for dining to be over so that I could go

  Pray constantly because prayer is the only thing that can sustain your soul and keep you far away from the enemy. The world is full of so many things that we cannot see with our eyes so we have to be very prayerful. Put your trust in God and not man. Be careful who you tell your aspirations to because some will only want to pull you down and discourage you. Don't give naysayers a chance. If you want to be great one day, you have to stay positive all the time. Have a positive mindset. Speak positivity into your life. If you can see it then it's possible.   Do you sometimes think you can be more? Do you sometimes think you are too old to pursue it? Do you know that the only limitations you put on yourself are the ones you impose on yourself? If you are out there and you think it's too late to achieve your dreams, you are mistaken? People like Samuel L. Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Vera Wang, Simon Cowell etc achieved their dreams at an old age and made it big. Some 42, 53 etc. This is to tell you that it is never too late to try again or go for that thing you've been longing to do. You are capable. Stop limiting yourself. You are so much more. I know sometimes is hard to keep staying positive but please try. I know you can do it. Don't allow age, status, societal strata demean your potentials.   I know a lot of people out there have got their hearts broken before. Someone said why do you have to cry when your boyfriend or girlfriend dumps you? Excuse you? Everyone is different.  It is okay to cry and scream the heavens down. Yes I said so! If this is the only way you will feel better just do it. Don't overthink it. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about it. Being vulnerable is not weakness. Remember you are not a robot, you are human and human beings have feelings. After all the crying, screaming, yelling and shouting etc. Just give yourself time. Go for a vacation. Try new things. Love yourself more and just live life your way but please do not do anything drastic like trying to kill yourself or messing yourself up with drinking and smoking.   I am someone who is always curious about one thing or another so research is something I do most of the time.  I believe there's nothing on this earth that cannot be learnt with constant practice, determination and hard work. Doing this on a daily basis has thought me a whole lot from business to cooking different types of recipes and cooking styles, dIYs , self care and a whole lot more. I don't know what you do with your spare time but I advice you to invest in yourself. There are so many online courses, social media , alot of books scattered everywhere online. You can read a new book every two weeks or a month that will broaden your vocabulary. Watch a cooking channel or have a recipe book that will help you learn something new about cooking. Read books on finances that will help you know how to invest your money and also to be more knowledgeable about financing etc. because I have realized that when most ladies get married they leave the money matters to their husbands wh

  Why do we concentrate too much on book knowledge and forget practicals? I have a friend learning Mechanical engineering and the person knows nothing about it.  The lecturer keeps giving them pamphlet and notes upon notes. Nothing to show for it. Most of the students in that class have no understanding of what the lecturer is teaching. They just read to pass and nothing more. If we are called upon to compete with a school outside the country, we will always fail because we know nothing when it comes to the actual thing. Our minds are filled with drawings, numbers and words. How can you be teaching a class mechanical engineering and never take them to the field to show them how things are done? How can you teach scientists without going through some practicals with them? Is this right? Does this sound okay to you? Change we must!!!!  I have realized that in Ghana here people forget about retirement. I don't know if is the same in Foreign countries. I went to an investment seminar some time back and I realized that is just 30% of people save for their retirement which is very bad. We have to cultivate the culture of saving towards that. Before you do that, one must have a financial plan that will help you save. First identify your goal. Look at the various investment options like Treasury bills, money market funds, pension, shares etc. and choose what you want.   Start from there. Buy yourself assets; it could be lands, buildings etc. that can also bring more money into your pocket.  You can also do research on investment just to have more ideas and knowledge about it. You can also speak to someone at a bank where you save your money to explain some strategies about financing to enable you make  good decisions when it comes to your finances or you can speak to a mentor who has a broader knowledge on financing w

  Looking for a job in Ghana is a hustle. No wonder there's alot of prostitution, fraud and arm robbery cases going on.  Moving on....in Ghana here is "whom you know". I mean you need links. People in high places to link you to good jobs. Some even take money in order to link you to a job. Some even go as far to impersonate Ministers and government officials on LinkedIn and other social media platforms just for money. Shine your eyes people! Some job requirements will just make you give up. Some are 10yrs or 5 yrs working experience, etc. How does one get these experiences if one doesn't get the opportunity? Hmmm....Life? I know alot of people with great resumes but they are home. Their families are even tired of seeing them in the house. Big problem......???  I was talking to a friend some time ago and this came up. I realized that some men love speaking down on their ladies so that when the lady goes out she feels like she's not worthy. The men do that because they feel insecure. They claim that when the lady gets to know how beautiful and smart she is, is going to get into her head. Seriously??? This is barbaric!!! Are you not suppose to rather do the opposite so that when she goes out there she feels confident enough to do what she's suppose to do; Be it at work or at a hangout with her friends. This is simply torture and this kind of relationship is toxic. It is verbal abuse.   What is the world coming to? I don't get it. Is it a crime to love someone? Is it a crime to be a relationship with someone? I don't understand why your boyfriend would want to blackmail you into having threesomes and foursomes and all sought of weird escapades. Is that normal? Sincerely not.   Have you ever been in a relationship where your boyfriend told you he wants a break from you? Hilarious right? I have been there too but in my case he did not even tell me until I asked him why I haven't heard from him and that was when he told me. This was a long time ago by the way. I don't get this. Are we on the pitch playing football that we have to go for half time? Please let me understand this. I keep saying this all the time, relationship is not a game. It is a commitment between two people. It is serious business. We are in it for a reason.
