 How's your prayer life like?  How often do you pray? How close are you to God? Prayer is very essential in our lives. Prayer pulls us closer to God and it breaks every limitations in our life. Prayer is a very powerful tool in our Christian lives because without this tool we will be in the dark. Taking our prayers seriously puts a shield around us and the devil finds it very difficult to penetrate through it. Wherever you are taken to by your enemies, they will always fail because your prayers to God will be fighting for you. We serve a God that doesn't joke with us. If we pray to him and we continue to seek him through his word, he will always fight our battles for us.  His word tells us that if we call upon him in prayer he is faithful and just to answer us.  He will never allow any harm to come to us.  I hear these questions on the tv and sometimes in movies or series. "If God was real then why does he allow bad things to happen to good people?" I was watching some videos on tick tock and I came across this video with this same question?  A pastor went to the barbering shop for a hair cut and the barber told him that there's no God so why does he want to be a pastor? The pastor retorted and said why do you say that? Now the barber said "If God was real why do bad things happen to good people?" The Pastor got up, tipped him and then left. The pastor saw a hairy and grungy man sitting outside and tapped him. He said to him please come with me. The pastor took the man to the barbering shop and said if there were such things as barbers why is this man hairy and grungy.  Indecent dressing has been there since time in memorial but in this our generation it's gone out of hand.  Some ladies and guys dress like they are from the ghetto. Especially the ladies are making it seem like when you show more skin, you trend and you get more followers on social media. When you go on social media there are so many half nude pictures of ladies, ratchet dressing, showing their breasts and what have you. What at all are we teaching the next generation coming up? Are we trying to tell them before you make it, you have to show some skin first before people start following you or you get noticed? We are trying so hard to follow the westernized culture which is not us. Our culture doesn't showcase indecency but rather dressing  appropriately. I know some people out there may not agree with me and I get that.  Sometimes life doesn't turn out the way you want it. You feel things are not going the way they should. You are frustrated and depressed. Everything around you is static. Nothing is moving. You are getting desperate. I know that feeling. We all have been there but it takes courage to be patient. You have to be. I know it's hard but you have to. God's word tells us that He will make a way where there seems to be no way". I need you to believe this. Have faith and it will work for you. God never forgets his children. In his own time he makes all things beautiful and He will definitely do that for you. He is not done with you yet. He's working behind the scenes for you.  Sometimes I wonder why people are so mean when they hold higher positions and they see the next person to be inferior to them. Sometimes I wonder why people can underestimate what people can really do and achieve. Let me tell you a story. I hope you are listening. When I was in high school my sitting partner always underestimated me just because she thought she was better than me.  I hated that feeling and it was really bad but I always told myself I was better than what she thought of me. In the same high school I had a French teacher who was a discriminator in the class. He was always focused on the ones that knew the subject and never concentrated on the ones that didn't know. I really felt bad because of that. I was struggling to understand the subject and how to read and write it when we had oral french. Within that time Nov/Dec was approaching so I decided to try my hands on it before writing WASSCE. WASSCE is an exam where all senior high schools in West Africa write before

 Alot has been going on, on social media and the latest is money rituals. Hmmmm.....is really something. Sometimes I ask myself what will make someone want to go into money rituals. Is it peer pressure, desperation, enviness, jealousy, frustration, get money quick syndrome or financial crises. Before someone will think of this, why not think about the disadvantages or should I say consequences that come with it. Remember All that glitters is not gold. This way of getting money is bad.  It can even land you to your grave quickly than you expected because when the devil gives you something he always asks for something that will cause you a lot of pain.  Think twice before you act. Life is beautiful and definitely your time will come just be a little patient because God is working behind the scenes in your favour.  Chalewote Festival is an event where arts and culture are showcased. Both local and international arts are also seen. It is mostly done in the month of August at Jamestown and people from far and wide come to experience this amazing festival.  The event takes 3 days and it has a variety of activities lined up such as parades, music concerts, exhibitions etc. The fashion sense of people during this event is sick. Woooowww....so colourful and out of this world. There are also lots of different local drinks and foods and continental too been sold.There's always lots of fun. Meeting up with friends and family and also making new acquaintances. If you are a foreigner and you really want to have a feel of something different then don't forget to book a flight to Ghana to experience this event.
