CHANGING THE MINDSET

Changing the mindset is very important especially when you are lost in your own thoughts, confused and having a hard time thinking of your next plan and worrying about nothing.
Getting the best information only is a best way of starting to change your mindset. Reading the best books to get real facts and information. It broadens your knowledge and helps you to do adequate critical thinking and also helps you to stand on your toes which brings out that self-confidence.
Role Model the best people. People that you can emulate positively. People that can motivate you and encourage you into doing something more productive than sitting idle.As the saying goes "an idle mind is the devil's working place". So working steadily is the best way to go.
Shape your mindset with vision and goals. Know what you really want to achieve in the life and have an idea of where you would like to see yourself in the next 5 years or 10 years.
Find your voice. What are you good at? That's your mind. What do you love doing? That's your heart. What need you can serve? That's the body. And finally, what is life asking of you? What gives your life meaning and purpose? Think of all these and make them work by proclaiming it. Act on it. Move away from your comfort zone and do it without looking back.
Protect your mindset. Don't be a Naysayer. Don't allow other people pull you down. Don't allow yourself to be dragged down by bad information and don't overload your mind with such. Staying on the right path is key. Don't allow anyone to underestimate your intelligence.
Never quit on what you think is right. Never doubt yourself. If Plan A fails, keep on trying until you do or perfect it. Always have a different mindset when a challenge is presented in front of you. You can do it. Whatever you can do or dream you can. Begin it now. Nothing is bigger than you because YOU ARE THE SON/DAUGHTER OF A KING.

The form One XpeRienCe (Senior High) Part 2

I was told the prep was going to be held at the dining hall since we haven't been given classes yet. I joined a batch of girls at the table and I opened a book to read. Some girls were just talking about what they did after they graduated from Junior high school and some were talking about trending things going on. I was just tired to even talk to anyone by the time I realized I was fast asleep. I don't know how fast the time went. After a while, I heard the siren and that immediately told me prep was over. I took my book and headed for the dormitory but first house prayers were made before we were allowed to enter into our dorms. I got in so exhausted. My bed was right beside the door but hey there was nothing I could do since I came late. We got down and stood infront of them. I was told to go to bed since I just came today. The seniors told them to showcase their talents right infront of them. One of them sang a Jordan Sparks song titled 'No Air', another sang a gospel song and one senior said who could sing Brick and lace song 'Love is wicked'. At the time, that song was reigning and was the ish. They were just standing there, no one came forward. I was just lying on my bed and I was singing that song. I didn't know they were listening because I thought I wasn't that loud so when I stopped I realized the place was super quiet. The next thing I heard was 'form one girl get down' . Class was indeed interesting but I didn't like where I was sitting. My sitting partner was something else. The way she spoke to me I didn't like it at all. French was also boring for me at the time but I did enjoy it when I was in junior high. Wednesdays we had general assembly where all the teachers, the students and the headmistress would meet to discuss about certain things going on in the school. Saturdays was for entertainment and some times visiting. During my time, visiting happened twice in one month and it was nice. You get to eat proper home cooked meal or proper meal from a restaurant and that period was really cherished. That is the time you see different kinds of foods, drinks and snacks. It was really a time for sharing. Sundays were church days and work days. The church is mostly held at the Asibey Hall in the morning and sometimes we would go to the presbyterian church in the town to join the community members there for service.
