A POEM- IN AN AFRICAN CITY

In an African City, your level of education is determined by how well you think, analyse, diagnose and approach issues.
In an African City, being a woman is determined how well you can keep a home, get pregnant and know how to cook if you are not in these three categories meaning you were not brought up well or you are barren.
In an African City, keeping one's virginity till marriage is an honor to your family.
In an African City, culture, tradition and values are of highly importance.
In an African City, saying 'I LOVE YOU' on phone to someone else is an abomination
In an African City, bringing a guy or lady to your house is highly unacceptable, it is viewed as being rude or not respecting your parents
In an African City, talking back when spoken to by your parents is considered as disrespect or being rude and if care is not taken you can be slapped or beaten up
In an African City, sitting at the hall when there is a visitor is considered as disrespect
In an African City, you better don't serve your parents with tiny pieces of meat or fish or else you are doomed

Leaving in one as made us unique from the western world and given us prestige, dignity and a sense of belonging.

I am proud to be an African......................All Africans out there appreciate who you are because you can never change it. YOU ARE BLACK AND SO SHALL IT BE FOREVER

ciaaaaaaaaaaoooooooooooo.......................muuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

PEACE!!!!!!!!!! SHALOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RELATIONSHIPS (FUD 4 THOUGHT)

Everyone wants a fairy tale relationship  Where the story line goes like this On one bright Saturday afternoon at the mall I was just checking out some dresses when suddenly my purse fell I reached to pick it when he decided to do that for me I looked at him and it was love at first sight We started talking and it felt like we had known each other forever Shortly after we started dating This guy was just amazing He understood me and accepted my flaws  He was just my kind of man The love was deep and I loved every inch of it Years after, he popped the question   And I gladly accepted And we've lived happily ever after till now These kind of stories doesn't exist in reality Trust me....they don't In the beginning of every relationship is very lovely and sweet but getting to the middle of it, things become very sour And that is where questions start popping up in our  minds "Why is he/she doing this to me?, does he/she...

The form One XpeRienCe (Senior High) Part 2

I was told the prep was going to be held at the dining hall since we haven't been given classes yet. I joined a batch of girls at the table and I opened a book to read. Some girls were just talking about what they did after they graduated from Junior high school and some were talking about trending things going on. I was just tired to even talk to anyone by the time I realized I was fast asleep. I don't know how fast the time went. After a while, I heard the siren and that immediately told me prep was over. I took my book and headed for the dormitory but first house prayers were made before we were allowed to enter into our dorms. I got in so exhausted. Immediately, I started packing my things because I didn't want to wait for tomorrow.  I didn't like where I was sleeping. My bed was right beside the door but hey there was nothing I could do since I came late.  Fortunately or unfortunately for me I ended up getting two school mothers; one was in form 3 and the other w...

The Form One XpeRienCe part 3

We got down and stood infront of them. I was told to go to bed since I just came today. The seniors told them to showcase their talents right infront of them. One of them sang a Jordan Sparks song titled 'No Air', another sang a gospel song and one senior said who could sing Brick and lace song 'Love is wicked'. At the time, that song was reigning and was the ish. They were just standing there, no one came forward. I was just lying on my bed and I was singing that song. I didn't know they were listening because I thought I wasn't that loud so when I stopped I realized the place was super quiet. The next thing I heard was 'form one girl get down' . I got up from my bed and stood infront of them then I was asked to sing the song I was singing. I did when I was done, I was asked to go back to bed and that was it. The next day was Saturday and I didn't know what to expect. I got to the bathroom to take my bath and I realized that the bathroom was an ope...
