Postpartum Depression

It's been like a minute since I was last here. It's been a very busy time for me so please pardon me.

Life is a mystery; sometimes the kind of things that you encounter through it makes it incomprehensible but we still try our best to make meaning of whatever we go through

Let's have a chit chat shall we?

Have you heard about postpartum depression?

Is something that mothers go through after childbirth. They become overly overwhelmed

They feel their child is not theirs

They feel the child is cursed

They feel the child has no connection with them

They feel they are not good mothers and so on

These are few things that they go through

Going through pregnancy is not an easy thing and the after birth is not easy either

Sometimes people feel as a woman, you have to be fine after the delivery but it's sometimes difficult

There are some mothers out there that are finding it very difficult but no one talks about it

The only thing we see on social media is the pre photo of the mother when she's carrying the child and an after picture when the baby is delivered and sometimes a picture of the mother looking all snatched up after weeks of delivery.

No one posts their problems on social media so people think motherhood is that easy

They go through a lot and this is one of them

They going through this, doesn't make them less of a human being

They experience mood swings. Instead of them being happy, they rather become afraid.

When that happens they need alot of support from their support system to help them go through it

They should be treated with care and love

And they should also understand that what they are going through is a phase and they will soon be okay

Some people think of killing themselves. That is too extreme. When that happens the person needs to talk to a psychiatrist so that something can be done immediately.

This has to be talked about more often so that new mothers out there will get to know about stuff like this so that they don't get to think they are possessed.

Always remember "You are a conqueror"

The form One XpeRienCe (Senior High) Part 2

I was told the prep was going to be held at the dining hall since we haven't been given classes yet. I joined a batch of girls at the table and I opened a book to read. Some girls were just talking about what they did after they graduated from Junior high school and some were talking about trending things going on. I was just tired to even talk to anyone by the time I realized I was fast asleep. I don't know how fast the time went. After a while, I heard the siren and that immediately told me prep was over. I took my book and headed for the dormitory but first house prayers were made before we were allowed to enter into our dorms. I got in so exhausted. Immediately, I started packing my things because I didn't want to wait for tomorrow.  I didn't like where I was sleeping. My bed was right beside the door but hey there was nothing I could do since I came late.  Fortunately or unfortunately for me I ended up getting two school mothers; one was in form 3 and the other w...

The Form One XpeRienCe part 3

We got down and stood infront of them. I was told to go to bed since I just came today. The seniors told them to showcase their talents right infront of them. One of them sang a Jordan Sparks song titled 'No Air', another sang a gospel song and one senior said who could sing Brick and lace song 'Love is wicked'. At the time, that song was reigning and was the ish. They were just standing there, no one came forward. I was just lying on my bed and I was singing that song. I didn't know they were listening because I thought I wasn't that loud so when I stopped I realized the place was super quiet. The next thing I heard was 'form one girl get down' . I got up from my bed and stood infront of them then I was asked to sing the song I was singing. I did when I was done, I was asked to go back to bed and that was it. The next day was Saturday and I didn't know what to expect. I got to the bathroom to take my bath and I realized that the bathroom was an ope...

SeamTailor Saga

I don't understand why seamstresses and tailors are always lying.  Did they go to school of lying and studied the course lying affairs and graduated with a first class degree? aahhbbaa!!! This is too much. Does this happen everywhere or just in Ghana? I really want to know. Let me tell you guys a story. There was this day I gave my cloth to this tailor to sew a dress for me. He told me that by next week it will be ready so that I can come for it. I told him I will be there next week. The following week I went there and he told me it wasn't ready that I should give him another week. I asked him if he was sure. He said yes and I left.  I came back the following week and he told me it wasn't ready. I got furious and I told him to give me my cloth because he wasn't being honest and truthful to me. Even as I am speaking to you a seamstress has my cloth that is yet to be done. Can you imagine? I hate this kind of treatment. Why can't they be truthful for once in their l...
